CARPET-CROSSING:PDP UNDER GOV. JANG IS A SINKING SHIP.----Mr. NANKIN BAGUDU

Former Commissioners and Special Advisers who served during the first tenure of governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with their supporters for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The former cabinet members who described the PDP under governor Jang as “a sinking ship” were received by the state Chairman of APC, Lateb Dabang and the party’s flag bearer in the forthcoming election, Mr. Simon Lalong.  Speaking with newsmen in Jos yesterday on behalf of other former PDP members, Mr. Nankin Bagudu said: “We the Redemption Integrity Group having observed that Plateau is at crossroads; in an unpleasant situation where the destiny of the state is at stake.  “Having looked at all issues and challenges facing us as a people, we have decided to join forces with the progressive forces at the state and federal levels to rescue our people.  “We have decided to jump the sinking ship of the PDP and declared for the APC and have decided to work for the victory of APC at both the state and federal levels.”  They said that they left the party in the best interest of the state and the country as a whole.  In their welcome address, both Dabang and Nankin said that the APC, was repositioned to address the impunity being perpetrated in the state.  According to Lalong: “APC is coming to rescue the state from the claws of impunity. We are worried at the level of the state’s indebtedness and we call on well meaning Plateau State people to vote out the PDP government which is enslaving them.’’
